Salary

Salary Up to £100,000 Per Annum

Good Pension Scheme

Our Final Salary pension scheme (Local Government Pension Scheme) is one of the best and it also includes redundancy, dependants and ill-health benefits. It is available to all employees under the age of 64.

General Terms of Employment

The post will be subject to the terms and conditions of The Joint Negotiating Committee for Chief Executives of Local Authorities.

Political Restriction

This post is politically restricted under the terms of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and the Local Government Officer (Political Restrictions) Regulations 1990.

Relocation

Financial assistance with the cost of removals and relocation is available. Further details are available upon request. Maximum amount to be confirmed.

Car Leasing/ Car Allowance

The postholder will be eligible for car leasing up to the value of 10% of the salary on which you are appointed or a car allowance of approximately £990 per annum.

Hours

Normal office hours are 37 hours per week. The post holder will be expected to work the hours necessary for the proper performance of the Chief Executive’s duties.

Holidays

The post holder will be entitled to a minimum of 28 days’ holidays a year, plus bank holidays. Holiday entitlement increases with seniority and service.

Professional Subscriptions

The Council will reimburse the post holder for their annual subscription/ fees for membership of one relevant professional body.
